EARLY SPRING TRAIL MIX CONCERT - HOME GROWN!

Once again we will sponsor a fund raising concert in our wonderfully acoustic cabin on Saturday March 8th at 7PM. We will feature local musical talent, hence the tag line---Home Grown! At last we awaken from our winter slumber to present the first Trail Mix live local music event of the year. This is our 3rd (maybe 4th) one, so there’s no denying that this can now be counted on as an annual happening. Again, we will spring from our slumber with vigor and gumption, bringing live, local music to Senior Hall and this year’s event. We have completely reset the lineup, meaning all four acts are new to the Trail Mix stage.

On Saturday, March 8th, starting at 7pm (doors open at 6:00p), Trail Mix will bring Ben Salus, Jess and Dave, Salus and Ploum and the duo, Bugs Still Fly together for an evening of quality local music, and it’s all to benefit the Preserve. The music will feature vocal harmonies, clever originals and some off-the-beaten-track covers. The concert is free but your voluntary donations are appreciated and will be collected at the door via cash, credit or debit card. From there, rest-assured, you can settle in for a spectacular, harmonious acoustic live music event, right here at historic Senior Hall at the Preserve. And once again our resourceful Preserve volunteers will sell pizza from the 5th Quarter, gourmet wraps from Carter Catering as well as soft drinks and water. Flossmoor Station brewery will sell adult beverages.

To prove that Trail Mix has not been in a state of total slumber since last year, at Home Grown, we will share our plans for the summer so that you can mark calendars and start anticipating the 2025 Trail Mix Acoustic Concert Series. But, here’s a teaser: On April 4th, at Cooper’s Hall at Thorton Distilling Co., expect critically-acclaimed Pravda Recording artist Nathan Graham and his band. He meshes Southside Chicago blues with Nashville’s Americana and is renowned for his voice, guitar playing and his songwriting. And since that concert will be less than a month after the Home Grown event, at Home Grown, you will have the opportunity to purchase Nathan Graham tickets, without those pesky on-line fees.
